P. Erik Dullerud, B.A.Sc., P.Eng. Erik Dullerud has over 35 years experience in structural design and construction of water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, conveyance structures, pipelines and a multitude of other municipal engineering type structures. He has had direct and indirect involvement with the design and construction of more than 200 liquid containment structures. Erik has carried out numerous investigations of structural failures and has provided advice and support to owners, contractors, insurance companies, lawyers and bonding companies in resolving difficult construction problems, claims, etc. Erik has extensive experience in the repair and rehabilitation of structures. He has acted as project director on one of the largest concrete rehabilitation projects in Canada. He was employed with Gore & Storrie Limited, one of the largest and most prestigious firms in the municipal engineering field in Canada, for many years. From the mid-1980s to 1995, he was a senior principal with that firm. Between 1995 and 1999, he was Vice-President and senior manager with the same firm after it merged with CH2MHILL. |

M. Reza Kianoush, Ph.D., P.Eng. Reza Kianoush is Professor of Civil Engineering at Ryerson University, Toronto, specializing in the analysis and design of structures. He has over 18 years experience in design, research and teaching in the structural engineering field. His specific expertise is in finite element analysis and design of water retaining structures, including foundations, pipelines and tunnels. Reza has extensive experience in vibration analysis and seismic analysis and design of structures. His computer skills include program development, structural modeling and calculations with package software applications. Reza has been an active member of ACI Committee 350, Environmental Engineering Concrete Structures for the past 16 years. He acts as Chair of the Education Committee for ACI Committee 350. During this period, he has been involved in the development of a new Code and Commentary for municipal types of structures. Reza is very active in structural research, particularly in the field of liquid retaining structures, and has over 50 publications in structural engineering. |
